Sage was our first fur baby and it’s hard to put into words what she meant to us. She wasn’t just a dog—she was part of everything. Always by our side, always ready to go.

She lived for the water and the hunt—ducks, geese, shed antlers—you name it. If it meant being outside, she was all in. She’d swim for hours at Flathead, waiting for us to throw another stick into the water, fetch a ball, and never missed the chance to go for a ride, catching mice and frogs were some of her favorite activities. Tail wagging, eyes bright—she was happiest when we were all together.

Sage was a gentle soul. She loved babies and puppies like they were her own. Always wanted to be the mom. She welcomed every new dog like an old friend and never lost her patience, no matter what kind of chaos was around her.

She was steady. Loyal. Just… good. One of those once-in-a-lifetime dogs.

We’re going to miss her more than we can say. But we’ll carry her with us—in the duck blind, in the water, on the trail, in the quiet. Sage was the best!! ❤️
