Scout was chosen by our three children. They begged for a puppy after being “puppy nurses” for a friend’s litter. I found the kids quietly (they were never quiet) counting out their piggy banks to see if they had enough money to buy one of the puppies. This is when we knew Scout (the largest of the litter) would come to live with us. He brought us 13 1/2 years of complete joy. He was a BEST friend when someone needed comforting, BEST running/walking partner no matter the mileage or weather, BEST big brother to Huk and Seeley, gave the BEST snuggles, BEST snacker and vacuum cleaner, and could drool like a Saint Bernard. He will be missed tremendously.
